Lassi

You had lassi in Indian restaurants. I have, and this was the first time I made it myself. Lassi is a refreshing yoghurt drink, sometimes flavoured with mango. Here is how to make it!

  • Get several cups of yoghurt and pour them into a jug. 
  • Add several cups of water - depending on how thick your yoghurt was. 
  • Add pepper, salt, sugar or all of them if you wish.
  • Whisk it, either by hand or with an electrical whisk, until it starts to froth. 
  • Put it in the fridge for at least an hour. 
  • Enjoy!

My favourite sort of lassi is a mango lassi, but you need a blender to make that, which is something which is packed away in some unknown box in storage. However, if you are more fortunate and have your blender handy, then you can make mango lassi by the following recipe:

  • Mix the same ingredients as last time as well as some chopped mango in a blender. 
  • Put in the fridge for at least an hour. 
  • Enjoy!
